Letterform Archive’s Board of Directors serve a vital role in helping shape the Archive future and make strategic decisions about its finances, resources, and programs. Board service is one of the greatest ways to have an impact on the Archive and its community.
About You
The Archive is searching for new board members to provide strategy and oversight.
Those with a passion for the Archive and at least one of the following core areas of expertise, are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities
All board members are expected to:
- Have a deep passion for the Archive’s mission, community, and impact
- Attend quarterly meetings and occasional retreats
- Bring their unique expertise and wisdom to the table
- Work with the leadership team to develop and adapt the Archive’s strategic plan
- Ensure strong financial oversight and legal compliance
- Make an annual personal contribution of an amount meaningful to them
- Expand the Archive’s network of supporters and collaborators
- Disclose any potential or real conflicts of interest
Selection Process
- You apply using the form below by May 1, 2023.
- We’ll review all applications and contact you by June 2.
- If selected, you’ll meet with a board member and someone from the leadership team to discuss your interest, qualifications, and availablility.
- The Board will vote to approve your membership at or before the next quarterly meeting.
- You’ll go through a board orientation and materials to get you up to speed and ready to serve.
- You attend the next quarterly meeting as a new member!
