Inscript is an all-online festival showcasing inspiring presentations at the overlap of typography and today’s evolving industries, including: artificial, augmented, and virtual realities, creative computing, font development, and innovative use of craft. In this talk, Inscript Collective member and event co-curator Ksenya Samarskaya will present glimpses from behind the scenes of three years of presentations, including emergent trends and opportunities on the horizon. 

Ksenya Samarskaya

Ksenya Samarskaya is a strategist and creative practitioner focusing on all things typographic, pedagogical, and with regenerative futures on her mind. Samarskaya is a member of AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale) and the Inscript Collective. She has served on the boards of AIGA/NY and ATypI, as the managing director of TDC, and taught type and creative strategy worldwide (Harbour.Space, IE University, MCAD, NYU, SVA, and UArts). She’s written on climate change, design, and education for Common Edge, Eye on Design, It’s Nice That, and Wired. And, since 2011, she’s been at the helm of her branding and type design practice, Samarskaya & Partners, where she’s contributed to numerous brands and 40+ multilingual font families.
