The Archive now offers an Airbnb Experience, a new service that connects travelers directly with one-of-a-kind activities in their destinations. Make a Zine at Letterform Archive is a two-and-a-half-hour event on select Saturdays, and is open to residents of the Bay Area as well as out-of-town visitors.

Starting with a tabletop tour of San Francisco-related design artefacts with Librarian Kate Long-Stellar, guests learn about and examine an individually-curated selection of books, posters, sketches, and typeface specimens drawn from the Archive’s 100,000-piece collection.

Next is a hands-on workshop with Education Director Angela Riechers, where each guest creates an eight-page zine from a single sheet of paper. Think travel journal, souvenir record of an event, or anything else that comes to mind! We provide all art supplies, including materials duplicated from Letterform Archive’s holdings, and encourage guests to bring their own photos, ephemera, and other items for collage if they’d like.

Experience dates are scheduled for August 2, August 23, and October 11, from 11:30 am–2pm. Book your experience for $70 here.
