Join us for our Salon Series, where Letterform Archive staff invite you to experience materials related to a specific topic of interest to the Collection.

This spring semester, a group of MFA students at California College of the Arts took part in a unique course: a Survey of Type History, taught by Letterform Archive staff in our very own reading room. From medieval manuscripts and Renaissance printing through the modern digital age, students were guided through key developments in design history with hands-on access to the original materials in our collection.

Come experience the culmination of their hard work, a Salon that tells the story of type and design innovation as researched, curated, and presented by the students.

Doors at 6:00pm. Presentation begins promptly at 6:30pm.
