Archive Salon Series 09: Jacob Jongert
Join us for our Salon Series, where Letterform Archive staff invite you to experience materials related to a specific topic of interest to the Collection.
Jacob Jongert is an underappreciated Dutch modernist whose vibrant coffee and tea packaging of the 1920s and ’30s was way ahead of its time. The Archive is now home to hundreds of objects from Jongert’s tenure at the Van Nelle company in Rotterdam, including boxes, tins, labels, store displays, posters, ads, and other collateral. Join Founder and Curator Rob Saunders as he explores Jongert’s striking work and how it broke free of conventional identity and package design.
Doors at 6:00pm. Presentation begins promptly at 6:30pm.
