About Anton Seder
German decorative artist Anton Seder (1850–1916) was an art nouveau pioneer, as well as an influential author and art instructor. He served as Director of the Applied Art School in Strasbourg. In addition to Die Pflanze, he published many highly sought-after and lavishly produced design albums, including Das Thier in der dekorativen Kunst and Naturalistische Dekorationmalerei.
