About Owen Jones

British architect and designer Owen Jones (1809-1874) was one of the nineteenth century’s most renowned design theorists. Jones designed the interiors of the Crystal Palace for the landmark 1851 Great Exhibition and contributed to the reform of British design education. His monumental The Grammar of Ornament is widely regarded as the most influential design publication of its time.
