In its first decade, Type West has served more than 200 students from 31 countries. Each has designed an original typeface family as their thesis project. To celebrate this legacy, the remarkable work of our students, and the community that has grown up around the program, Type for All! 10 Years of Type West opened in September in our main gallery.
The book includes typefaces from every local and online cohort from 2016 to 2025, an index of every student and typeface, profiles of the program’s instructors, a list of guest critics, 116 Letterform Lecture speakers and their topics, and reflections from instructors and students throughout.
